One of the best recreations of resident evil gameplay and psx style graphics I have ever seen! Its rare for a game to mix my two niche fixations, zombies in a historical setting and the Vietnam war, and come out this good. Found this game through steam ironically, and I loved it so much I had to leave a review but steam doesn't let you review demos so I tracked this page down! Best of wishes to the two devs and here's hoping you guys make the amazing game this is shaping up to be!
I enjoyed Jungle Rot a lot. It is a game inspired by Resident Evil, there are weapons like the Machete, the 1911, the M16 and the Stakeout. I see that it was made in 1999 but no... Could be more details for the full version, but I enjoyed the demo version! It was good, I'll give it a 10/10 :) Nice work!
This game was so much fun, and I'm stoked for the full game to release. I absolutely have it on my Steam wishlist. This brings back nostalgia with the OG games such as Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and Clock Tower.
This game is, hands down, one of the best indie games of all time!!! I'm a huge fan of the classic Resident Evil games, so I couldn't contain my smile as I played this. What a love letter this game is to classic survival horror. I'm eagerly awaiting the full game's release! I am officially a huge fan of you guys!
This was great! Loved the Resident Evil 2 vibes, played really well. Had a blast, only wish there were a checkpoint or a save system. But besides that no complaints from me. Can't wait to see more 👍

I set the FPS to 30, and it honestly felt like I was playing a PS1 game. Really great job with the assets and the original RE1 homages. Can't wait for the full game!
This was great stuff! Nailed the old school feel while making something unique! This game definitely had a tongue-and-cheek vibe throughout, but the atmosphere was great stuff. I appreciate that you guys were relatively generous with the ammo compared to other games trying to do the same thing. It didn't take away from the tension and by the end of the game I was loving the imagery of wading through waist-high water fighting off the undead. My only concern about the full release is making sure the caves can stay fresh over a longer session. The caves didn't overstay their welcome here, and once I got back out into the jungle, it was a sigh of relief. Great work all around!
Making a unique RE clone definitely has its challenges, but we tried to do certain things different like the setting + various quality of life changes so we are glad most people agree it paid off. At the start this was only intended to be a preview (short, but full game with some replay value) and we designed things with that in mind. That being said, there isn't a crazy amount of innovation here, but for the full release we plan on throwing more interesting ideas and features into the mix. We hope you stick around for the future and thank you for playing!

Wow what a fantastic game, I could totally see this as a full throw back game, I love the vitnem jungle asthetic, the game feel real isolating, makes u wonder why more horror games dont take place in the jungle, if this does turn into a full game I'd love to see maybe jungle animals that have turned into zombies or entre villages. Agian great game, I can see the hard work you guys put into it, would love to see more in the furture

After I pressed the play button and watched the initial splash screen with text, I just got a black screen and nothing happens. Nothing works, the next scene does not load. I tried different settings in full screen, in window mode, different resolutions, etc., nothing helps. Just a black screen and does not let me into the game. Please help.

Even though it was a little difficult at first, I still had lots of fun playing this game! What I like most about this game are the mechanics, the voice acting, and the cutscenes! The live action cutscene that plays in the beginning is my favorite because it reminds me of this game from the 1990's called Harvester, which is another game I really like as well! Keep up the awesome work!
Played it today and Its easily my favourite game so far this year! I grew up playing and watching the original Resi games and this just threw me back to the good ol days! I'd love to see more games like this, great work!

Is there a way to config key bindings? I had a difficult time trying to run with left Shift and shooting with mouse. :(

This is genuinely great. It gets all the PS1 stylistic beats right, it's very funny, and I'm so so happy for controller support, even in the demo!
